Jaguar XJ-S Electrical Schematics (pre 1991)

These pages contain colour circuit diagrams for the majority of electrical components found on most Jaguar XJ-S series cars and are similar to the ones found in various other publications, except that we have had to redo the whole lot due to some fundamental errors in the original publications. (see notes).

Most of the circuits are the same on the XJ-S as they are on the XJ6/12 of the same period. however we have done the whole lot again for the XJ6/12 so as to capture the difference.

How to use these diagrams: We have change the way that schematics are accessed following requests from our visitors. The individual pages are no longer available, this will enable us to update the file easier and with more frequency. Please note: the new Flashpaper diagrams are always the most up to date versions.

Jaguar XJ-S Electrical

Basically we got feed up of wasting time chasing faults that weren't there but were errors in the publications; for instance the central locking relays are in fact the wrong way round, the Ariel solenoid has the wrong designation numbers the list goes on. Now we are not having a pop at anyone as We are not about to state that these are gospel, however they are as accurate as we can tell having been tested on a selection of vehicles but like the other authors we’re only human, mistakes can and do happen.
