Lost radio code Jaguar X300 X308 X & S-type and XK8/R

This information is very generic across the model range from cars after the X300 (1995) but does not apply to cars destined for the north American market. This information only apply's to cars fitted with factory units and not any third part retrofitted units.

Some USA shipped late XJ40s are also coded.

How to get your radio code

In the UK and Europe Your car should have been supplied with a jaguar radio key card but sometimes these have been lost or destroyed.

This is only usually a problem when the battery needs replacing, has been disconnected or has gone flat.

If the Radio has not been replaced from another car then simply send us your cars VIN using the "original head" button at the bottom of this page and we will decode the security number for you. Please note: that some (mainly early) cars may not be logged on the Jaguar system but we can still possibly put you in contact with the supplying dealer who should have a record of it.

However We will refund the administration Fee against any future purchase from us over £100.00 net provided you quote the reference number supplied along with your code. (offer excludes some genuine Jaguar parts). For security reasons, your code will be sent via email only and providing all the information requested is valid and correct.

If on the other hand the radio is not the original one as supplied with the car all is not lost. You will need to remove the radio using the correct procedure for your vehicle. and then supply us with the units model, serial and version number. This service unfortunately carry's a service charge from the original head manufacturer that is passed on to you the customer..
